A great graphic t-shirt can last for years—or fall apart after a few washes. The difference isn’t just in the quality of the fabric. It’s in how you take care of it.
Rule number one: turn it inside out
Before every wash, turn your t-shirt inside out. The design stays on the inside, protected from the mechanical friction of the drum. It’s the simplest and most effective way to preserve the print over time.
Wash cold. Always.
Heat is the enemy of ink. A cycle at 30°C (86°F) max protects both the printed colors and the integrity of the fabric. Delicate cycle or cold cotton—never an intensive cycle for a graphic piece.
The dryer: best avoided
Dryer heat attacks both fibers and ink. For a 200 g/m² organic cotton t-shirt, air drying flat or on a hanger is enough and helps preserve the collar’s shape. If you use a dryer, cold air only.
Ironing: never directly on the design
If the piece is wrinkled, iron it inside out or place a cloth between the iron and the design. High heat directly on a print can cause peeling or cracking, even on quality fabric.
Storage matters too
Folded on a shelf—not hanging under tension in a closet. Ribbed collars lose their shape over time when left on hangers.
